The Boeing 777 (commonly referred to as the Triple Seven) is a twin-engine, long-haul jet airliner manufactured by Boeing.
Description

An Air Euro 777-300ER from London turns away.
A 777-200ER in service with Unicorn Airlines. This airline operates the 777-200 and 777-200ER, the difference is in the -200ER engines are blue, while the -200 are white.
The Boeing 777 was made to bridge the gap between the Boeing 747 and 767, and to replace older long-haul widebodies such as the McDonnell DC-10. It is the largest twinjet to date and can be identified by its unusually big engines. By the mid-2020s, the 777-8 and 777-9, the latest entries in the series, will enter service.
History
The 777 started as a potential replacement for the 767, and was initially designed as a trijet named the 767-X. Airlines showed little interest in the 767-X, so Boeing started with a clean slate and designed the 777 instead.
Development of the 777 went fairly smoothly. It is built at Boeing's Everett plant along with the 747. The plane has a glass cockpit and fly-by-wire controls, which was not a common feature at the time of its release.
In-Game
In the Airport Hero series, the 777 is a common plane. It is used by many long-haul airlines and tends to appear on such flights. This may include Europe to Asia, and the West Coast to Asia. Japan Lines often uses their 777s on domestic Japanese service.
Variants
Four variants of the 777 appear in the game.
B777-200
The 777-200 is the smaller version of the 777. It is identical in looks and capacity to the -200ER. Its lesser range and capacity makes it ideal for longer-distance domestic routes.
It is used by three airlines in the series, frequently in Airport Hero Osaka-KIX.
B777-200ER
The 777-200ER is one of two extended-range variants of the 777-200 (the other being the -200LR, which does not appear in the series). It is commonly used on trans-Pacific routes
It is used by the following airlines.
B777-200F
The 777-200F, better known as simply the 777F, is the dedicated freighter variant of the 777. It is quite rare, only being used by one airline in one game in the series.
B777-300

A rare Taiwan Southern 777-300 during a snowstorm at New Chitose Airport.

An APA 777-200 on the ground.
This is the stretched version of the 777-200. It is not very common, having been outsold and outlived by the -300ER. Production of this particular model ended in 2006.
It is also rare, only used by two airlines.
B777-300ER
This is the extended-range version of the -300. It is the most successful version of the 777 both in the game and in the real world, with 810 units delivered. It possesses many advantages over its rival, the Airbus A330-300.
Many airlines use this versatile aircraft.
