Delivery Control (Not to be confused with Departure Control) is a control frequency that appears pink on the ATC panel.
Control[]
Delivery control is the only channel in the AH series to perform only one function. It only handles departing flights.
When a departing flight appears as a strip on the ATC panel, it will continue boarding for some time (In the background, you can hear a flight attendant making a final boarding call to passengers). After that, the jetway will retract from the plane, and the flight crew will contact Delivery. It is Delivery's job to check the flight plan: destination height, speed, QNH, and approve it. The pilots are also supposed to read the information back, which they do so correctly 90% of the time. Once the plan is approved, the flight is handed off to Ground Control for pushback.
Although this channel has the least activity of any other channel in the game, on a crowded day the frequency can be backed up by as many as three flights. Although Delivery only has one task, it is a lengthy one.
