Japan Coast Guard is a coast guard-run airline in several Airport Hero games.
Description[]
In Airport Hero Osaka-KIX, t e JCG runs small SAAB aircraft from Kansai to Incheon in the game. It is an exact match to the real Japanese coast guard, the game's creator may have added the airline in as respect for them.
The JCG holds many records in the game. It is the only government-run airline in the entire series, the only one to not have jet aircraft, one of only a handful of airlines to have propeller craft at all, after Air Sonic and the private aircraft, and the only airline in the mainstream games to be exactly like a real-world airline.
The Coast Guard planes have a small hangar near the edge of runway 24R, labeled on the map as "JCG Terminal". If the player directs them to runway 06L, the planes will immediately get off 24R and go right up to the hangar without causing any problems. They are often regarded as the easiest airline to control in the series.
JCG only operates the Saab 340 to and from Incheon. It is unknown why these trips are conducted. The plane model for JCG has been called one of the best in the series. They have a good propeller animation and AH Kansai's signature landing gear animation. When the planes land, the boarding ramp unfurls from the side of the plane just like Air Sonic's CRJs.
The Japan Coast Guard also appeared in Airport Hero New Chitose, albeit they use the Bombardier DHC-8 Q300 MPA (Maritime Patrol Aircraft), and their callsign is the aircraft's registration number, JA8777.
