Japan Lines is a commercial airline and the main airline in Airport Hero Osaka-KIX
(not to be confused with Japan Skylines)
Description[]
Japan Lines is the most commonly seen airline in AH Osaka-KIX. It is very likely that they are the successor to Japan Skylines, the secondary carrier in Airport Hero Narita. Their fleet is identical and their paint schemes are very similar. It is unclear if they are supposed to represent Japan Airlines.
In Operation Mode, Japan Lines operates high demand domestic routes in Japan, such as Naha, New Chitose, and Tokyo. They mostly use the 777 on these routes, and all their departures will start at the domestic terminal at Kansai Airport.
An advantage of this placement is that arriving and departing Japan Lines flights can use either runway 06R or 24L without causing any delay. This means the player can be much more flexible when dealing with JLS flights.
Japan Lines has one of the most diverse aircraft fleets in the Airport Hero Series. In Operation mode, 777s and 737s are the most common. There's usually one per stage in the main mode. also, in one stage, a 767 appears. However, when the player unlocks the Camera stage feature, there are even more planes and flights to discover. JLS 787s and bigger 777s are now commonly seen flying to Hong Kong, Singapore, Incheon, Kuala Lumpur, Los Angeles. The 767 appears more often, with a flight to New Chitose. The 777s are also flying on more diverse destinations.
The name “Japan Lines” was first used in Airport Hero Chaos (under the code JNL), which is credited as the first Airport Hero game. Thus, it can be called one of the first airlines in the series.
