A Japan Lines flight approaches as Kansai Airport shines brilliantly below
The South International Terminal (also known as the South Int'l Wing) is an international terminal at Kansai Airport in Airport Hero Osaka-KIX.
Terminal Information[]
Description[]
At Kansai Airport, there are two international terminals. The South Int'l Terminal occupies the same building as the North Wing and the domestic terminal. The South Wing has 5 gates in a mirrored layout of its northern counterpart.
Relative to the airport, the terminal is in the lower central region of the airport, just below the control tower. During heavy storms and fog, this proves to be an advantage in decreased visibility.
Control[]
The South Wing is noticeably quieter than the North Wing (rarer airlines tend to use this terminal). It's centered position means it can access any runway in the airport in a reasonable amount of time. Despite this, runway 06R/24L is still the quickest option. If you choose a different runway, beware of flights buzzing around the LCC terminal.
Be especially careful if an Air Sonic flight appears. One way or another, they will always become an emergency flight. They may stall out on a runway and force the airport to close it. Plan carefully in this situation.
Airlines[]
The following airlines use this terminal:
- Air Euro
- Starpole Airlines
- Japan Lines (international flights)
- Air Taiwan
- Air Sonic
