OahuAir is a common major airline in Airport Hero Honolulu.

Description

OahuAir only appears in Airport Hero Honolulu. It represents Hawaiian Airlines, obvious due to its nearly identical paint scheme. Their fleet also matches its real-world counterpart. Technically, OahuAir's official name is "Oahu Airlines" (this is the name used by the announcer for a departing OAL flight), however it is not known or recognized by this name.

OahuAir planes appear in almost every stage in the game. The airline operates mostly domestic flights to the U.S. such as Guam, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Newark, and internationally to Japan, Australia (very rarely) and New Zealand. In addition, they operate to many other cities such as Dallas, Phoenix, Mexico City, and Chicago that are rarely seen.

OahuAir also uses a fleet of Boeing 717s to transport passengers (mainly commuters) around the Hawaiian Islands, since most of the islands are too small to have large airports. In-game, the 717s have their own terminal which no other planes can park at, although the 717s are able to go to every other gate. All 717s bound for other islands never appear in the main gates.

OahuAir planes are frequently seen in the western spots alongside Unicorn Airlines and All Japan flights. In addition, OahuAir is competing with Unicorn, evident by the large number of routes they share.

OahuAir planes are usually easy to control. Their fleet allows them to access every runway in the airport (except for A330s, they must use either 8L/26R or 8R/26L.). For a 717 commuter flight, they should always go to 8L first, as crossing the airport to go to a different runway is a risky move. 8R can be used as well, but only if 8L is too crowded. The player needs to keep in mind that commuter flights need to be airborne quickly, or else they risk losing points. 767s and non-commuter 717s are easier. If they are on the left side of the airport, take 8L or 8R. If on the right, use 4R/22L (717s and 737s can use 4L/22R as well).

It has been reported that OahuAir 717s can experience the go-around glitch, yet this fact has yet to be confirmed.
