Operation Mode is fairly easy to finish but beware, the airport can still fill up quickly.
The airport map is a great tool to use, especially in more difficult stages.
Operation Mode is the primary gamemode in the Airport Hero Series. It is often referred to as simply the main mode.
Description
Operation Mode is the normal or main set of stages in all Airport Hero games. While the number of individual stages varies between games, there are generally 8-12 levels, not including the extend stages. Airport Hero Narita has the most stages (20), while AH Osaka-KIX has the least (10).
In any stage in Operation Mode, there can be unexpected situations such as emergency flights, runway closures, special flights, and other scenarios that will interrupt the normal flow of air traffic, forcing the player to use extra caution.
Main Stages
In every stage in Operation Mode, there will be a point goal the player must meet, a set difficulty, and a time of day with a weather pattern (rain, fog, snow, etc.). These conditions can make it easier or harder to clear the stages
The mode as a whole is fairly easy to complete, however, it gets much harder as the player progresses. In AH games prior to Airport Hero Osaka-KIX, the player will have to clear Tutorial Mode before they can move on to Operation Mode. They may also have to clear Operation Mode before moving on to the Camera Stages.
The player will likely encounter every airline in the game (excluding Asia Express) in Operation Mode, but they will not see every destination or type of aircraft since many of them are unique to other gamemodes.
Extend Stages
Main Article: Extend/Special Stages
The extend stages are extra stages that the player to complete. While they dish out large coin rewards, they are much longer and harder to complete that the stages in Operation Mode. The airport can get much more packed than usual, testing the ATC's skills.
Special situations are far more likely to appear in extend stages.
