A TAL 747 lifts off on a beautiful sunny day in the Hawaiian Islands

Taiwan Southern Airlines (more often just Taiwan Southern or TAL) is a commercial airline appearing in three Airport Hero games. And its the one of the FEW Taiwanese/Chinese Airlines In the series. Along with: "Air Taiwan" (Possible Predessecor) and the small Chinese Budget: "Wing China"

Description

Taiwan Southern appears in both AH Honolulu, AH Narita, and AH New-Chtose. The TAL paint scheme is very inviting, with its smooth blue lines and pink waves on the tail. The name "Taiwan Southern" is not on the aircraft at all. The paint job looks very good on the 747, the carrier's primary aircraft, however, few fans have criticized the look on its 37s which appeared in AH Narita.

Due to the similarities between them, it is highly likely that Taiwan Southern is the predecessor to Air Taiwan, from AH Osaka-KIX. They are also the successor to Dynasty Airlines from AH Haneda, they share the same paint scheme and callsign.

In the Hawaii game, Taiwan Southern was somewhat frequent, appearing in a few stages. They are a bit more common in the camera stages as well. They only used 747s and flies to Taoyuan Int'l Airport In Operation Mode. Camera Stage-WIse it Arrives and Departs from/to Narita, and one Camera Stage departed to Incheon. It is quite rare to see two TAL flights in the same stage. They will use Honolulu's Terminal 1. Because of the runway space needed to land a 747, TAL flights can only land on either runway 8L/26R or 8R/26L. If you do find yourself handling a TAL flight in Honolulu, you can use either runway pair, but if the airport is crowded when the flight appears it is best to use runway 8R.

Two TAL jumbos prepare for departure from Honolulu to Taoyuan

TAL/DSK now goes from Narita to Shanghai, Honolulu, Incheon, Taoyuan, Taipei, Hanoi, and Kaohsiung. So we can probably tell the amount of destinations flying to Taiwan, China, Korea, and Vietnam; These could be Codeshare between Korean Airways, Wing China, Air Taiwan, and Oahu Airlines even. And who knows, possibly more other Airlines. TAL flights occupies Narita's Terminal 2, close to runway 16L/34R. 747s. In this game you can actually take them off and land them to R16L/34R which is a great thing because this reduces taxi time to T2 But on the other hand, if the area is too busy it isnt a bad option landing them on R34L/16R. But this has a longer Taxi time and could risk interfering with Pacific Cargo Planes and APA planes, and others. 737s, in this case. Should be applied the same to the 747's can use R16L/34R and taxi to T2 quickly. But can use the R16R/34L if its too busy. But like I said earlier. Consider the consequences if not managed well.

Taiwan Southern also operates the Boeing 777-300 on Airport Hero New Chitose, but has a different code (DSK) and callsign (TAIWAN SKY). This is the same code and callsign as Air Taiwan, yet another indicator that the two airlines are related.
