Tower Control is a control channel in the AH series. It is displayed red on the ATC panel.
Control
Tower Control is one of the only frequencies to have the same function throughout every game. Their main function is to manage all flights around the airport and its runways. They are other smaller functions they perform as well
Arrival
After being handed off from Approach, Tower Control will manage flights from the handoff until they leave the runway. About 6 miles away from the airport, the pilots will contact the tower with the message: "Tower, [Flight Number], approaching final." The tower can then either approve landing or issue a go-around, where the plane will circle the airport and go back on the approach frequency. In some games, clearance can be given before the flight is on its final approach.

Before giving landing clearance, it is important to check wind conditions. If conditions are not suitable for landing, the runway will be indicated with a red marker. If the marker is blue or yellow, landing is possible. If landing permission is given even if wind conditions are bad, the plane will go around anyway and the player will receive a large penalty
When the plane lands, it will spend some time slowing down, then the player needs to select an exit. There are two possible exits the plane can take. The plane will continue down the runway until one is selected. After one is chosen and the plane leaves the runway, they are no longer the tower's responsibility. They will hand them off to ground control and they will be under their jurisdiction.
Departure
A departing flight will come under the command of the tower following the handoff from ground control. They will hand them off if they are near the runway. It is the tower that will give them takeoff clearance, however, they can also tell them to hold short of line up for takeoff on the runway. These commands are actually very useful and should be used wisely. If the tower frequency is very busy, the orders can be used in succession to ensure the flight is not delayed.
When the plane takes off, it will spend some time to adjust itself and put it on the right course. Soon after it's landing gear retract, it will contact the tower and notify them that they are airborne and climbing. The tower will provide them with information on which flight vector to go, then they are handed off to departure control. In Airport Hero Osaka-KIX, the tower will also sign off with "good day".
Other Tasks
If a departing flight needs to cross a runway, ground control will hand them off to the tower early, and the tower will give them clearance to cross. Thankfully, a flight can wait to cross a runway without being delayed.
Also, it is tower control's job to make sure a go-around is transferred to departure smoothly. This action also does not cause delays.
