Unicorn Airlines is a common airline in Airport Hero Honolulu and Airport Hero Osaka-KIX.
Description
Unicorn Airlines is a fairly common airline appearing throughout the Airport Hero Series. They mainly appear in AH Honolulu and AH Osaka-KIX. They also make a small appearance in AH New Chitose.
Since they are an American company, they will probably have a prominent role in the upcoming game Airport Hero New York. They will also most likely be a competitor to Air American.
AH Honolulu
In the Honolulu game, the flights appear somewhat frequently, usually every few stages. There is a Camera Stage where the majority of flights are operated by Unicorn.
The airline represents United Airlines. Their names are very similar and the Unicorn paint scheme is based off an older United scheme. The Unicorn fleet doesn't match United, with Unicorn having far fewer planes than United, like the A320s, A319's, 737-500, 767-300(ER), 777-300ER's, and alot more.
Unicorn's hub is Los Angeles, CA, due to the large number of flights from Honolulu to L.A. The airline also has flights to Newark, Portland, New York, San Francisco, San Diego, and Seattle/Tacoma. In the main stages, Unicorn doesn't fly internationally at all, but there is one Camera Stage where a 777 arrives from Narita, although Unicorn doesn't appear in the Narita game. Their fleet includes the Boeing 767, 777, 757, and the 737. Camera stages add the 747 and the Airbus A321. Like most airlines, they use the main terminal at Honolulu Airport.
Unicorn Airlines also appears to be competing with OahuAir, as they share many of their routes. This is a rare example of two airlines in Airport Hero in a competition.
In a promotional photo, we saw a Unicorn DHC-8 turboprop plane, therefore we will most likely see one in the Airport Hero series soon if they have not been added already.
AH Osaka-KIX
In 2017, Unicorn Airlines reappeared in Airport Hero Kansai. Unlike Azix and some of the other airlines from previous games, Unicorn remained fairly similar to how it was in the Honolulu game. The only difference was that Unicorn's 777s appeared with solid white engines instead of blue.
Also, while in AH Honolulu the airline operates the 777-200ER, in this game they only operate the 777-200. This most likely explains why the planes have white engines.
Unicorn flights are much rarer in the Kansai game, only appearing in a handful of stages. This makes sense since they are a U.S. based airline. There are only two flights from Kansai provided by Unicorn, Guam and San Francisco.
Unicorn flights in Kansai will always appear in the North International terminal of the airport.
AH New Chitose
Unicorn also shows up in AH New Chitose. So far, they have only been reported to use the 777-200ER, 747-400, and 737-700 in this game. And not only that. They're code is switched from UCA to "UAA". These flights frequently operate from Guam.
